BLACKWATER and COVID-19: How We Safely Conducted a Videoshoot During the Pandemic

The pandemic and the subsequent quarantine have made it a challenge for many videographers to complete their work. Fortunately, BLACKWATER had the tools and ingenuity needed to safely create a promo video for an essential business during the Coronavirus pandemic.

We used our drone footage to capture arial shots per usual, allowing us to get high-quality photos while social distancing. Another technique we used was taking advantage of our telephoto lenses on handheld cameras. Due to the capabilities of these lenses, we were able to take photos we needed while adhering to social distancing guidelines.

The shoot was completed entirely outdoors, minimizing the risk of indoor pathogens. In the end, we were able to effectively capture high quality footage without needing to be in close contact with subjects.
